Ben Bernake hid behind the same old song and dance last night! He spoke and a lot of market participants were looking for some kind of clue as to what he is going to do on December 11 th (the next FOMC meeting).
But he did the same old thing: worried about housing, worried about the credit markets, and still worried about inflation.
Hey Ben! Do me a favor and tell us something we don't know!!!
But nope, that's not your way. Instead you've said you (and us) should watch the data and that will help you decide whether you will lower rates or not.
Well Uncle Ben, that is certainly going to put a lot of pressure (up and down) on these markets!
One thing is for sure. Ben Bernanke loves volatility!!!
