by Larry LevinWe started to get some of the earnings reports (Alcoa is always the first one) and it wasn't on the good side. We didn't drop a whole bunch (only 85 points in the Dow Jones) but we did start moving lower.
Remember what I've been saying, earnings will need to exceed expectations for us to stay on the top end of the range.
If we were closer to the middle of the range it wouldn't be as important to exceed expectations, but up here, it matters big time.
So keep an eye out for those earnings reports as they will have a large affect on the market over the next couple of weeks.
